Loveparade is back!

After a two year hiatus the world’s biggest electronic music celebration returns to Berlin’s streets complete with its DJ floats and messages of peace, love, and unity. Based on previous estimates, over a million clubbers are expected to attend this year’s Loveparade on 15th July 2006, which has 40 moving soundsystems, and ten stages.

A message posted on the Loveparade’s website by its organisers read: “After the disappointing cancellations of the 2004 and 2005 Loveparades, finally the biggest open-air party of modern electronic music again becomes THE cultural event, as well as the cult event it is known for internationally.”

World Series Vol. 1

World Series Vol. 1 is the first in a line of CD album projects that are aimed at both the DJ and the clubber alike. CD1 contains ten brand new exclusive tracks including tunes from James Lawson, Matt Williams, Nick Sentience, Greg Brookman & Tim Coe, Justin Fry, Dan Madams, Tabin Ace and The Edison Factor which are all unmixed so DJs can use them in their sets.

This compilation will also have a second CD which features all the tracks mixed by The Edison Factor and is for the car, the ipod or the living room.

Ferry Corsten - L.E.F

L.E.F (Loud, Electronic, Ferocious)The Dutch harbor city Rotterdam was Ferry Corsten’s playground when growing up and the city still is his current base of operations. Being a full-time producer since 1991 Ferry has developed into a true prodigy of the international dance scene.

Finally, more details about Ferry’s upcoming release called have been announced. This new album will be released in Holland on the 26 May 2006. Loud, Electronic, Ferocious will consist of a single CD release and will have 8 tracks.

Underworld - Downloads & The Misterons Mix

With 2 film soundtracks, remix packages, writing for the forthcoming studio album, and their cult broadcasts from their studio yet to come, it’s going to be a busy summer for Messers Smith & Hyde.

In November 2005, Underworld announced the first in a series of download only releases under the Riverrun banner. “Lovely Broken Thing” was swiftly followed only weeks later with the second in the series “Pizza For Eggs”.

Underworld is now ready with the third in the series, titled I’m a Big Sister, and I’m a Girl, and I’m a Princess, and this is my Horse. Out on 05 June 2006 (A download package) “I’m a Big Sister….” explores the darker, moodier, more ambient side to Underworld.

More updates!

Today I have been tweaking the site a little bit, making it perform better as well as adding some new features I have been working on; if you look towards the right you will see a brand new shining navigation.

The most obvious change is probably the font of the website. I have changed all fonts and they’re much more clear and reable now, they’re not as ‘rough’ as the previous fonts.

In addition, when you read a full news post if you scroll right at the bottom I have added a new boomarking feature where you can automatically add your favourite news post to a service such as Del.icio.us.
