Known around the world as a “producer’s producer”, Andy Caldwell has had his hands in some of the most critically acclaimed dance/electronic music releases of the past decade. An original member of the groundbreaking four piece electronic super group Soulstice, Andy has created solo singles for labels such as Naked Music, Om, Yoshitoshi and his own Uno Recordings.
Universal Truth will be available on 22 May 2006 (Om Records); a tracklist is also available.
Above & Beyond have been responsible for some of the world’s biggest club tracks over the last few years and now rank among the most respected trance producers globally, with a number of successful projects.
From an early age, Sam had no escape from his parents own musically mixed cocktails of Giorgio Moroder, Klaus Schulz combined with a dash of Elvis Presley. Through this heavy involuntary dose of electronically initiated influence, he developed an early fascination for squelchy synthesizer sounds and after buying his first Depeche Mode single, he was firmly hooked. But it seemed like from here to eternity before he was to pick up his own musical instrument.
Luke Chable remixed the Platipus classic ‘2 Full Moons & A Trout’ 2006 and it was through this meeting, that Platipus discovered his ‘dependency’ towards the label & how it shaped him as a DJ. Likewise with Kosmas Epsilon (who also remixed ‘2 Full Moons…’ on spec.) shared his ‘compulsive’ collecting of all things Platipus, back in the day.
If there was any question over who could follow the critical success of Satoshi Tomiie’s inaugural 3D release it can now be answered in one word – Faithless…
The first Alex M.O.R.P.H. solo artist album will be released on May 26 2006. This upcoming release will come in two editions; a standard edition which will consist of a double-cd and a limited edition.
With dance music currently overwhelmed by house music, there is extremely good news for the trance scene. Binary Finary return with their long awaited artist album The Lost Tracks.
