Fort Dance 2006
Washington-based DJ duo Deep Dish have been announced as the headliner’s of Russia’s nuttiest dance event Fort Dance. Fort Dance takes place on Saturday 29th July 2006 in a 19th century military fort located off the coast of St. Petersburg, a location that’s only accessible by boat or helicopter.
Now in its 7th year, Fort Dance has grown to become one of Russia’s best dance music parties, and this year will feature some of the world’s top DJs, as well as improved sound and lighting.
The organisers have gone out of their way to make this year’s Fort Dance the best one yet, and have announced that there will be private hire rooms in the dungeons of Fort Alexander 1, which each come with their own topless dancers.
The original fort was constructed to protect St. Petersburg from attack from invading armies, but now it will be used house up to 5000 clubbers whilst the likes of 2020 Soundsystem, King Roc, Youngsters, Miss Nine, and Dean Coleman entertain them.
A ‘mojito sunrise bar’ has been constructed on the roof of the fort especially for the event, which goes on till 10am.
As well as an outdoor main stage, three rooms in the fort will be used to showcase different genres (techno, house, electro), which will be interconnected by spooky corridors and stairwells.
Tickets to Fort Dance cost 85 Euros, which includes boat delivery from St. Petersburg.
